This virtual competition has been organised by students from De Montfort University and Bath Spa University rowing clubs that want to help raise money for the NHS in these challenging times.
We recognise not everyone has access to an ergo, therefore we are asking people to run 2km rather than row, but the format is that of national rowing events. The first round requires all competitors to race a time trial (Saturday), which will be used to seed 6-lane ABCD finals (Sunday/Monday). Crews are allowed, with the times from each individual being averaged to determine the overall time.
To record times, competitors must join the Lockdown Regatta Strava group. You will then need to submit these results to RaceLeader on the day of the race.
This regatta is all about supporting those who are on the front line making huge sacrifices to keep us safe. So we have made a Just Giving page where we suggest a £5 donation per seat as your entry fee.
