Peterborough City Rowing Club's Summer Regatta may have been cancelled for 2022 (see their event website for details), but that doesn't stop us having a competition between crews, so we've taken the regatta virtual!

We have created two new virtual competitions using the original entry data from the Peterborough Summer Regatta. We are keeping the planned 1,000m Saturday and 500m Sunday race distances.

How to compete,

1. Head out on your local stretch of water, in the original crew you had entered for Peterborough Summer Regatta
2. Track your entire outing using GPS, so it can end up on Strava (only one person in the crew needs to do this)
3. Do a 1,000m and/or 500m piece (depending on which you originally entered)
4. Visit RaceLeader, find your crew and upload your Strava activity against it

The RaceLeader system automatically analyses your activity, extracts the fastest section (either 1,000m/500m) and displays it in the public results, with Masters handicaps being applied automatically.

This may not be the Summer Regatta we all wanted, but it will bring us rowers together as a community and help retain some of that competitive spirit.

Please help spread the word – crews have until 18:00 on Sunday 14 to submit results. It’s completely free to take part, no BROE CRI points will be gained, and a prestigious 1st place ranking on the leaderboard is at stake!
